SUMMARY:Gender\, human rights and environment in Disaster Risk Management
DESCRIPTION:The PPRD East 3 programme aims at strengthening capabilities of civil protection institutions in the Eastern \nneighbourhood countries to better prevent\, prepare for\, cope with and recover from emergencies. To reach the \noutcomes\, the integration of gender\, human rights and environment as cross cutting issues in the programme is \nfundamental. This to ensure that the DRM systems and actors are strengthened in a direction that strives \ntowards are safer\, sustainable and more resilient society for everyone\, including for women\, girls\, boys and \nmen\, elderly\, people with disabilities and other minorty groups\, and that we make sure to leave no one behind. \nThe webinar will introduce participants to why gender\, human rights and environment is important in DRM \nand how the integration of these cross cutting perspectives in DRM helps responsible actors to more \neffectively carry out their job and fulfil their mandate. \nThe webinar will also launch the new PPRD East 3 Practical Guideline for integrating gender\, human rights \nand environment in the programme.
